Basements mean an extra level of glass

Almost nothing in the Treasure Valley is built with a basement, so this is a genuine local exception. A daylight or walk-out basement adds a whole band of glass below the main floor — frequently on the downhill or rear elevation — and that glass sits closest to the ground, which is exactly where sprinkler overspray and splash-back land hardest. Why the rinse water decides how long a clean lasts

Nampa city water runs hard — the city's own quality report puts it as high as 7.08 grains per gallon — so the single biggest factor in how long your glass stays clear is what it gets rinsed with. Wash with tap water and the rinse itself leaves dissolved mineral behind as it dries — you have cleaned the glass and re-spotted it in the same pass. Deionized water has nothing dissolved in it, so there is nothing left to dry into a spot and nothing for the next round of dust to bond to. Screens are $50 added to a window service and free once a year on a membership; gutters start at $199. The honest limit: if your glass was done recently and the only thing bothering you is a haze on the lower panes, that is usually sprinkler mineral on two or three windows, not a whole-house job, and we would rather fix those than sell you the full service again.
