We test a corner before working any pane, use fresh blades, keep the glass wet while we work and take extra care with tempered and coated glass, where debris caught under a blade can scratch. Labels and adhesive come off with solvents that are safe for the glass and frame, not by gouging. Anything we can't remove safely, we tell you about instead of forcing it.
