Yes. Honeydew is a sugar, not tree resin, so it dissolves in water. What it needs is agitation and enough water volume, not detergent. We scrub the pane, flood it, and rinse with deionized water. Because that rinse water has no minerals in it, there is nothing left behind to dry into a spot once the sugar is gone. Soap is what leaves the tacky edge film people notice again a week later.
