What Grows and Settles on Astoria Park Siding

Exteriors here collect three separate things. On north and east elevations, where sun never fully dries the wall, you get algae and mildew as a green-black film. Along the bottom three feet you get mud splash and irrigation overspray staining — the same mineral that marks the glass marks the siding, and on light vinyl it reads as a permanent dingy band. Everywhere else you get Canyon County field dust — spring disking, the summer hay and mint cuttings, and the fall onion, sugar-beet and silage harvest, carried on the west wind off the Snake River plain. Each needs different treatment, which is why one pass with a pressure wand does a poor job on all three. Across roughly 222 lots it is remarkably consistent — Astoria Park is one job, not a hundred different ones.

Soft Wash, Not Pressure

House washing is a chemical process, not a force one. We apply a surfactant and sodium-hypochlorite blend at low pressure, give it dwell time to kill the growth at the root, and rinse. High pressure drives water up behind lap joints and into the wall assembly, strips the chalking layer off aging vinyl, and on stucco and manufactured stone it will take the finish off outright. Soft washing kills the algae rather than knocking the top off it, which is why it stays gone longer. We pre-wet and rinse every bed on the wash path. Being this close to Ustick means the road-facing elevation is always the one that needs the most attention.

Why This Is Different in Nampa

Nampa sits in the middle of working Canyon County farm ground, and that is the difference between glass here and glass in Boise. Field dust is not an occasional nuisance; it is a seasonal certainty, and it arrives while the irrigation is still running. That is the honest reason we push timing as hard as we push method: doing this work at the right point in the Nampa season is worth more than doing it more often at the wrong one. Astoria Park is on our regular Nampa route, not a special trip. We already work E Wolcott Ct, E Toussand Dr, N Pichon Pl and E Eden Ct inside the subdivision. It routes off Ustick, which is how we keep travel out of the price. We schedule by area rather than first-come, which keeps drive time down and holds prices where they are.

Where We Stop

Soft washing removes organic growth and dirt. It will not fix oxidised vinyl, it will not pull efflorescence out of masonry, and it does not repaint anything. We are locally owned and fully insured, and we would rather point you to the right trade than take work we cannot finish well.
