What Grows and Settles on Hazelwood Village Siding

Exteriors here collect three separate things. On north and east elevations, where sun never fully dries the wall, you get algae and mildew as a green-black film. Along the bottom three feet you get mud splash and irrigation overspray staining — the same mineral that marks the glass marks the siding, and on light vinyl it reads as a permanent dingy band. Everywhere else you get decomposed granite off the foothills, plus the winter inversion that traps particulate at ground level for weeks at a time. Each needs different treatment, which is why one pass with a pressure wand does a poor job on all three. Soft Wash, Not Pressure

House washing is a chemical process, not a force one. We apply a surfactant and sodium-hypochlorite blend at low pressure, give it dwell time to kill the growth at the root, and rinse. High pressure drives water up behind lap joints and into the wall assembly, strips the chalking layer off aging vinyl, and on stucco and manufactured stone it will take the finish off outright. Soft washing kills the algae rather than knocking the top off it, which is why it stays gone longer. We pre-wet and rinse every bed on the wash path. On Hazelwood Village's newer builds the warranty paperwork usually still matters, so we work in a way that will not give anyone a reason to void it.

What Boise Adds to This Job

Boise glass carries something the rest of the valley does not: foothills grit. Decomposed granite off the slope is sharp and fine, it travels on the afternoon downslope wind, and in winter the valley inversion holds everything else down at ground level with it. On a Hazelwood Village property that shows up as a shorter useful interval than the same work would hold somewhere else in the valley, which is worth knowing before you decide how often to book. At about 142 acres, Hazelwood Village is small enough that neighbours booking together is genuinely cheaper for everyone.

The Honest Limits

Soft washing removes organic growth and dirt. It will not fix oxidised vinyl, it will not pull efflorescence out of masonry, and it does not repaint anything. Saying this plainly costs us the occasional booking and saves everybody the version where you find out on the day.

Booking in Hazelwood Village

Hazelwood Village is on our regular Boise route, not a special trip. We already work W Petunia Dr, S Almira Way and W Morela Dr inside the subdivision. It routes off Lake Hazel, which is how we keep travel out of the price. Neighbours booking on the same day is the cheapest way to do it — we are already set up on the street, so the second and third homes cost less to serve than the first.
