In Meridian it catches north Meridian's open-ground wind fetch, which still carries construction and field dust off the sections that have not been built yet, and then — the part people do not expect — it catches pressurized irrigation overspray. Canal water on a warm panel evaporates fast and leaves exactly the bonded mineral film it leaves on windows, except here it sits directly in the light path. Soiling losses on a neglected valley array are not trivial, and the panels at the low edge of the array, where runoff concentrates, are usually the worst. Across roughly 90 acres it is remarkably consistent — Jayker is one job, not thirty different ones.
We clean from the ground with water-fed poles wherever the roof pitch and array position allow it, which keeps weight off the panels and off your roof. We do not walk on panels — micro-cracking from foot traffic is invisible and permanent. We do not touch wiring, inverters, optimizers or mounting hardware; if we see something that looks wrong we photograph it and tell you to call your installer. Arrays we cannot reach safely we will decline rather than improvise. At about 90 acres, Jayker is small enough that neighbours booking together is genuinely cheaper for everyone.
Once or twice a year suits most Meridian arrays — after the spring pollen and field-dust season, and again at the end of summer. If your array sits within throw of an irrigation head, it will want the more frequent end of that, and it is worth adjusting the head instead.
