Mineral Is the Half You Cannot Rinse Off

Ask anyone in Garden City why their windows spot and the honest answer is the sprinklers. the ditch and canal system along the Boise River bottom supplies untreated canal water to the irrigation line, and it is carrying both silt and dissolved mineral. On glass that dries into a ring you can see in low sun and feel with a fingernail. The culinary side does not help either — hard treated water, the same mineral load the rest of the valley deals with — so rinsing with a hose adds mineral rather than removing it. Pure water with no soap is the only method that takes the deposit off instead of smearing it and leaving a tacky film for the next cycle to stick to.
