We Supply the Lights, and They Are Not Retail Strings

The lights are ours, not something you buy and store. We install commercial-grade LED strands rated for outdoor winter service, custom-cut to your roofline so every run terminates exactly where the roof does rather than doubling back or leaving a gap. Retail light strings are sold in fixed lengths, which is why a self-installed roofline usually has a bunched section at one end, and they are not built for a Kuna winter of freeze-thaw and UV. Ours come down in January, get serviced, and are stored by us over the summer.

Clips Only, Never Staples or Nails

Everything attaches with purpose-made clips that grip the shingle edge or the gutter lip, which means nothing is driven into your fascia, your shingles or your trim. That matters more on Arroyo Vista than people realise: these homes are recent enough to be inside or near their roofing warranty, and putting a staple through a shingle edge is an unnecessary way to create a leak path. Clips also come off cleanly in January without leaving holes to fill or seal.

Small Lots Mean Your Neighbours See Everything

On 0.15 to 0.22 acre lots the houses sit close together, so a roofline here is read alongside the two next to it rather than in isolation. Even spacing and a straight line matter more in that context than they would on an acreage lot, because any sag or uneven gap is directly comparable to the house four metres away. It is also why we take the measurement seriously rather than eyeballing it: a straight run at consistent spacing is most of what makes an install look professional.

Gutter and Fascia Condition Comes First

Clips transfer load to your gutter lip or shingle edge, so we look at the condition of both before installing. Arroyo Vista gutters fill with wind-blown field soil and first-years shingle granule, which compacts heavy and can already have worked hangers loose, and a gutter with a failing hanger is not something to hang a light run on. If we find something loose we tell you, and it is often sensible to have the gutters cleared before the lights go on, since we cannot clear them afterwards without removing the install.

Booking, Takedown and Storage

Holiday lighting is quoted per roofline after we measure, because linear footage and the number of peaks, dormers and returns matter far more than the square footage of the house. The quote covers design, installation, the lights themselves, a timer, mid-season service if a run fails, takedown in January, and storage of your set over the summer so it is not taking up your garage. Kuna books out early, and the best dates in this subdivision go to people who ask in September and October rather than December.
