Holiday Light Installation in The Highlands, Boise, Idaho

We supply the strands, hang them, service them and take them down — The Highlands included. It sits in Boise south of Chinden, east of Broadway in 83702, and it is a long build-out — the plats run 1955–1992 across 25 phases, so the housing stock spans a decade or more. It covers about 349 acres, large enough that we route it as its own stop.

How Holiday Lighting Works in The Highlands

We supply the lights — commercial-grade LED strands cut and fitted to your specific roofline rather than retail boxes stretched to fit — and they stay our equipment, so you are not storing a garage full of strands. Installation, mid-season service if a run fails, takedown in January and off-season storage are all part of it. Pricing is quoted per roofline after we look at the house, because a single-story ranch and a two-story with dormers are not the same job. With 25 phases recorded, the older streets show it further along than the newest ones, and we price accordingly.

Clipped, Not Stapled — and Gutters First

Every run is measured and cut to your eaves so the line follows the architecture. Strands attach with purpose-made clips onto the shingle edge or gutter lip: no staples, no nails, nothing driven through flashing or fascia. Because lights clip to the same gutter edge that has to drain all winter, we book gutter cleaning before installation wherever a home needs both — an ice dam under a lit roofline pulls clips and strands off with it when it lets go. Being this close to Chinden means the road-facing elevation is always the one that needs the most attention.

The Boise Variable

Two things drive this in Boise: untreated irrigation water off the canal system, and decomposed granite off the foothills, plus the winter inversion that traps particulate at ground level for weeks at a time. Separately each is manageable. Together they bond, and that is the condition we are actually treating on a The Highlands job. At about 349 acres, The Highlands is small enough that neighbours booking together is genuinely cheaper for everyone.

Where The Highlands Sits on Our Route

The Highlands is on our regular Boise route, not a special trip. We already work E Braemere Rd, W Highland View Dr, W Cashmere Rd and W Curling Dr inside the subdivision. It routes off Chinden, which is how we keep travel out of the price. If you can tell us the nearest cross street we can usually quote without a site visit. Where a property is unusual — a lot of divided lites, difficult access, a steep lot — we would rather come and look than guess.

Doing It on One Visit

This pairs naturally with gutter cleaning, and doing both on one visit is cheaper than two trips — setup and drive time are most of the fixed cost. It is also better work: there is an order these jobs should happen in, and doing them on separate days usually means doing one of them twice.
