Why Spring Hollow Ranch Screens Grey Out

Screen mesh is a filter, and here it filters irrigation. Silt carried in sprinkler overspray dries in the weave, and because the mesh is rough it holds far more of it than the glass does. Add Canyon County field dust — spring disking, the summer hay and mint cuttings, and the fall onion, sugar-beet and silage harvest, carried on the west wind off the Snake River plain and pollen and within a season the screen carries a grey load you can see through a freshly cleaned window. That is the complaint we hear most: 'you cleaned the glass but it still looks hazy.' It is almost always the screen. Pulled, Washed Flat, Reseated

Scrubbing a screen in its opening pushes silt deeper into the weave and flexes the frame. We pull each one, wash it flat on a padded surface so the mesh is supported, rinse from both sides, dry it and reseat it in the same opening it came from. Screens are not interchangeable — a frame that has sat in one opening for fifteen years has taken that opening's shape. We do not charge for a screen we cannot clean, and we will tell you which are too brittle to pull. On Spring Hollow Ranch's newer builds the warranty paperwork usually still matters, so we work in a way that will not give anyone a reason to void it.

Why This Is Different in Nampa

Nampa sits in the middle of working Canyon County farm ground, and that is the difference between glass here and glass in Boise. Field dust is not an occasional nuisance; it is a seasonal certainty, and it arrives while the irrigation is still running. That is the honest reason we push timing as hard as we push method: doing this work at the right point in the Nampa season is worth more than doing it more often at the wrong one. Serving Spring Hollow Ranch and the Streets Around It

Spring Hollow Ranch is on our regular Nampa route, not a special trip. We already work E Sylvan Hart Dr, E Phelps Lake Dr, N Boone Peak Ave and N Window Peak Way inside the subdivision. It routes off Cherry, which is how we keep travel out of the price. If you can tell us the nearest cross street we can usually quote without a site visit. Where a property is unusual — a lot of divided lites, difficult access, a steep lot — we would rather come and look than guess.

Where We Stop

We clean and reseat screens. We do not re-mesh or re-frame them, and we do not charge for a screen we cannot clean. Saying this plainly costs us the occasional booking and saves everybody the version where you find out on the day.
