Sky Mesa is still filling in, and glass on an active build site carries what a finished neighborhood never sees: concrete and mortar splatter, stucco slurry, drywall compound dust and cut-masonry fines. Those are alkaline and mildly abrasive, which is the worst combination there is — wiping them with a soapy cloth grinds them across the pane and leaves fine scratching no later cleaning removes. There is usually label adhesive in the corners too. We soften and lift residue rather than scraping dry glass, and we check for tempered stamps before any blade goes near a pane, because tempered surfaces mark in ways annealed glass does not.

Exterior window cleaning starts at $199 and is priced by pane count rather than square footage, because panes are what take time. Interior is quoted the same way. Screens are a $50 add-on alongside a window service. Gutters start at $199. House washing is $0.18 a square foot, pressure washing $0.20. Irrigation mineral is the half people notice. The other half is the working farm ground still south of Amity, which puts field dust on this glass through every spring disking and every fall silage run. The two problems compound. A dry pane sheds dust; a pane still wet from irrigation traps it, and once it is trapped in the mineral film it is no longer dust — it is part of the deposit. That is why timing matters almost as much as method, and why we would rather clean a week after you adjust a sprinkler head than the day before.

What Removing Soap Actually Changes

Streaks are a soap problem. Surfactant residue left in the corners and along the frame line is what you see when low sun hits a window two days after a cleaning, and it is also what the next dust settles onto. Because we never introduce soap, there is nothing to leave behind.
