Why Peregrine Estates Screens Grey Out

Screen mesh is a filter, and here it filters irrigation. Silt carried in sprinkler overspray dries in the weave, and because the mesh is rough it holds far more of it than the glass does. Add Canyon County farm dust off the dairy, seed-crop and row-crop ground that still surrounds the city on three sides, plus the harvest traffic that comes with it and pollen and within a season the screen carries a grey load you can see through a freshly cleaned window. That is the complaint we hear most: 'you cleaned the glass but it still looks hazy.' It is almost always the screen. We see it most consistently on the homes along Abbeygate Dr.

Pulled, Washed Flat, Reseated

Scrubbing a screen in its opening pushes silt deeper into the weave and flexes the frame. We pull each one, wash it flat on a padded surface so the mesh is supported, rinse from both sides, dry it and reseat it in the same opening it came from. Screens are not interchangeable — a frame that has sat in one opening for fifteen years has taken that opening's shape. We do not charge for a screen we cannot clean, and we will tell you which are too brittle to pull. On Peregrine Estates's newer builds the warranty paperwork usually still matters, so we work in a way that will not give anyone a reason to void it.

What Nampa Adds to This Job

Nampa is one of the few cities in the valley that runs its own irrigation district — the Nampa Municipal Irrigation District delivers untreated surface water to yards across town, and a lot of the older grid is still on gravity rather than pressure. What reaches the glass is canal water either way. On a Peregrine Estates property that shows up as a shorter useful interval than the same work would hold somewhere else in the valley, which is worth knowing before you decide how often to book. If you are on Queensbury Ave or one of the streets off it, we are likely already working nearby.

The Honest Limits

We clean and reseat screens. We do not re-mesh or re-frame them, and we do not charge for a screen we cannot clean. Reflekt has been operating since April 2025, which is a shorter history than some of the companies you may be comparing us against. We would rather you knew that up front.

Booking in Peregrine Estates

Peregrine Estates is on our regular Nampa route, not a special trip. We already work Abbeygate Dr, Ironstone Dr, Queensbury Ave and Meriadoc Way inside the subdivision. It routes off Karcher, which is how we keep travel out of the price. If you can tell us the nearest cross street we can usually quote without a site visit. Where a property is unusual — a lot of divided lites, difficult access, a steep lot — we would rather come and look than guess.
