Canal water on a warm panel evaporates fast and leaves exactly the bonded mineral film it leaves on windows, except here it sits directly in the light path. Soiling losses on a neglected valley array are not trivial, and the panels at the low edge of the array, where runoff concentrates, are usually the worst. We see it most consistently on the homes along W Torana Dr.
We clean from the ground with water-fed poles wherever the roof pitch and array position allow it, which keeps weight off the panels and off your roof.
