Most of Star repeats a builder catalog, and a lighting crew can nearly quote those streets from memory. Milestone Ranch, off Highway 16 near Floating Feather, builds above that spec — larger single-family and semi-custom homes where the roofline follows the architecture instead of a template. One house on Fanning might carry a long unbroken front eave; the next on Chamblee might step through four height changes between the garage and the main ridge. Each corner, return, and height change is another cut length and another ladder set, so we measure your actual eaves, rakes, and returns on a walkthrough and quote per roofline from those numbers. No flat packages, no tiers — a quote here is your house's real footage, priced honestly, told to you before anything is cut or clipped.
On a roofline with this many corners, a factory 25-foot strand is the wrong tool — the slack always lands somewhere visible, and stretches or bunches ruin the line the architecture drew. We supply commercial-grade C9 or mini LED strands and cut every run to your measured roofline, so sockets space evenly through corners and the line reads clean from the street end to end. Shingle tabs stiffen as they cool, and a clip slid under a cold, brittle tab can crack it — so the more roofline your house has, the more we want every foot of it hung while shingles are warm and dry. The lights sit dark on the house until you're ready; most of the neighborhood would sensibly aim for Thanksgiving week. Our routes fill by mid-November. We do install through December for late deciders, and on a big Milestone Ranch elevation that's the riskiest way to do it — a long install needs a long dry window, and December doesn't hand those out reliably. Book in October and the weather stops being part of your plan.
Some sections around Sugar Hill, Maysville, Fanning, and Chamblee are still finishing curb, sidewalk, and landscaping while others are fully settled, so if your street is new enough that GPS hesitates, mention it when you book and we'll confirm the route. The honest-limits part: a bigger house doesn't automatically justify a bigger light job. If your best elevation faces away from the street, or a long side eave is only visible to one neighbor, we'll say so at the walkthrough and quote the runs that actually read from the road — usually the front eave, entry gable, and visible returns — rather than selling you footage nobody sees. And we hang rooflines only: no wreaths, no garland, no lit trees, no animated shows. If a section of what you want is outside that, we'd rather tell you at the quote than surprise you at install.
