Why rain does not ruin the result

Rain carries very little dissolved mineral. On glass that is genuinely free of soap film and mineral residue, it sheets off and dries clear. What makes windows spot after rain is the residue the rain lifts and redeposits, and pure-water cleaning leaves none. Working in light rain is normal
